Ever wondered why bad things normally happen to good people?
I have.
Like what has happened to the Hwa family and Yi-Jien's disappearance.
Though we've all been praying for a miracle to happen and that Yi-Jien will be alright,
WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

actually, bad things happen to both good and bad people...
just like the sun shines on both good and bad people alike...
the fact is, if you live in this world, you will surely face suffering and evil... every human faces it, in one way or another, even the most pampered spoilt brat will face it sooner or later...
the difference is, if you don't know/don't believe in God, then your suffering is meaningless... a cruel joke played on you by fate...
but if you're a Christian, you know that God is with you in your suffering, and that He is sovereign... and you know that He loves you, and He suffers with you, as He suffered on the cross... and in the end, there will be a final end to suffering...
i think aunty kim guat said something like this at pastor hwa chien's funeral..."often at times like this we ask, 'why me?' but i want to ask, 'why not me?' why should someone else suffer rather than me?" and if you've read her email updates on yijien's disappearance (you can read them on karcy.livejournal.com if u want) they are a testimony to true faith.
hope you can wrestle through these issues... because now you're merely an interested onlooker. the time will come when it's your turn to go through the fire... so be prepared. =)
