Nothing more than just a piece of overrated crap.

WTHECK, man!

It's not even a mall!

Wasted spaces, wasted cash.

And LOTS of MALAY BOUTIQUES.

Well, that's Taiping.

It's practically complete. And the cinema is a Bollywood cinema, mind you. Go check the listings in the papers. Lotus Five Star offers a majority of Tamil movies. go check out the movie posters they have at taiping sentral yourself, wise guy. there is even high school musical 3, mind you. doomsday, money still not enough, a malay movie, doomsday, and a chinese and only ONE indian movie as well! so what was it about lotus five star that you were talking about? you think they will rather satisfy only indians being the only cinema in taiping? being the only cinema in taiping, with 7 screens available, you really really believed that only tamil movies will be screened there? pathetic.

taiping sentral will not fail as badly as you condemn it. it's impossible to not feel offended of what you have typed here, really. you just think you so smart. you try to sound smart and be a critic. good one, mate. the whole taiping will go against you for this one.

I am not comparing Taiping Sentral to all the other malls in Malaysia. It's just that I feel they could have done so much more with the place. At least put in some effort and bring in some decent places to shop like what Tesco did. Now TESCO is some place that I really salute. It has nice shops to go to, precious SPACE that's not wasted and decent shops. I'm sure Taiping Sentral can learn lots from Tesco. And about me calling it crap, it's just an opinion. So if y'all are just as offended as those who commented earlier on, that's your own problem. Like I said earlier on. It's like those opinions that some politicians feel that the nons are 'pendatang'. So, that's your problem. And if y'all are SO offended, then accept this new term that I've come up with instead of crap. Taiping Sentral is a high class pasar malam.

c'mon la..how 2 learn?? what kind of shop open there is nt under their control..its d boss who wan 2set up their biz & willing 2rent d lot there..
each shop hav their own boss who invest more than 200k++ in it..
eg..OLD TOWN, it will nit around 400k++ 2complete d whole set up..
Tpg Sentral dint organize evthing..jz rent d lot 2them...
so, what kind of shop cum is nt under their control..
who dowan GSC, McD, Esprit, Levis & etc 2cum?? its depends on who willing 2invest in it..its nt under Tpg Sentral at all..

plus..TESCO spacious bcoz they r hypermarkets..its a international brand & muz follow their company codes..their design is bout d same..
while tpg sentral build by local tpg company oni..d purpose is 2provide biz lot 4ppl 2rent it..
its nt a mall..
u know how much d rental is???
it bout 6-7k per month..nt many ppl dare 2invest a lot with current economy+consumers buying powers..

once this mall is established,more entertainment companies and more branded things will come. everything starts from the bottom. if nobody is willing to open a mall, do you think those shops like adidas , cinemas, noodle station, old town etc would even come? they would not even come down here to open a shop, and this place would not develop. and we have to spend our money on petrol, just to go somewhere else to watch a movie or to eat something different.

the cinema does not only offers Tamil movies, don't listen to the rumours......

and, "why go to Taping Sentral, IF the shops are the same as Tesco..." you don't want ppl to say that the taiping sentral are just copying the hypermarket next door, right??

I'm sure y'all love Taiping Sentral A LOT. And by saying A LOT meaning loads from what y'all write. But I don't feel the same. Taiping Sentral is a lala wonderland. A place you lalas can go and further 'lalafy' yourselves in places like Acewin. And saying that the whole of Taiping will be against me? Oh please!!!! 2nd, if u consider us non-lalas, it's die for u 2. becoz we r non-lalas but we find taiping sentral very interesting, we go there lepak everytime, we love walking around it, we love the atmosphere, we love the food, WE LOVE TAIPING SENTRAL. It is like a blessing Taiping needs. Oh ya...and u don't speak for us. We speak for ourselves whether we think it's interesting or not.

It's not a high-class pasar malam. It'll never be a high class pasar malam. A high-class pasar malam is when every stall is perfectly arranged and organised with no noise but Mozart music playing all over and each stall taukehs and taukeh-niahs dress up in a tuxedo and an evening gown saying something like "Good evening my dear customer. Would you care to browse through our crystal-clear as glass illegally copied Video Compact Discs? A very fine selection of quality there sir."

TAIPING SENTRAL is a blessing in Taiping. Noodle Station, KR Roasters, Sushi King, Starbucks r all there. They are brought closer to us so we don't have to drive all the way to Ipoh, Penang or KL. Blessing. Taiping had cinemas back then. But soon resorted to pirated movies for more than 5 years bearing low quality movie experience. Lotus 5S currently stands as the only cinema in Taiping and we don't have to go outside Taiping to feel the movie magic anymore. By the way, they r doing a good job in serving us movies of all categories, be it English, Malay, Chinese or Indian. It's not an all-indian-movie-centre as u exaggerated it. Blessing. More events in Taiping Sentral will come soon, Karen Kong once came to perform there. Expect more hips and happenings soon for everyone to enjoy. Blessing.

And me and the rest of the people who appreciate Taiping Sentral ranging from Taiping ppl to ppl from places as far as Kuala Sepetang who r willing to come to Taiping Sentral to feel like Ipoh and Penang don't mind repeating this TRUTH over and over and over again.

I admit. I admit that I love Taiping Sentral as much as other ppl who knows how to appreciate things. I admit that Taiping Sentral provides me and my friends a perfect place to lepak among MANY other families and MANY groups of friends and VERY LITTLE lala ppl. Taiping has less lalas compared to places like Penang and KL, by the way. I admit that I love the experience watching 'Connected' and 'Death Race' in a Lotus 5 Star cinema. They deserve that 5-star rating for making Taiping a better place. I admit that Taiping Sentral is the best alongside with Tesco.

I understand if u like to have a mind of ur own, trying to stand out among other ppl who think alike to....look and sound independent I guess? But at the same time, u must realise what u're talking about as well. It's not a waste of space and cash. It's making good use of a big land, and investors know well that they would get their moneys worth investing and they are! I cannot find a logic of why and why do you hate Taiping Sentral so much. What, was that land suppose to be where you're supposed to plant your lemon tree? PLANT IT SOMEWHERE ELSE! U don't like it, suak. But don't exaggerate everything to make it sound so bad.

And u seem very proud that u caught many ppl's attention to check this meaningless post and comment on it so Nuffnang can stick 25 cents up ur sorry little ass. This is a rather cheap, keji and 'jin kak' way to earn urself some advertising profit. Hell, I'll pay you 50 cents to get your mind right.

anyway i think ern wei didnt mean it to be that offensive. But i mean, some people actually said very cruel things like 'Fuck U' to him. So that could be the reason ern wei is getting so angry and answering things like lala and all that.

by the way, i honestly feel that taiping sentral is a place that caters for food and entertainment and not so much of clothing. Despite that its still a good place to foster closer ties between family and friends.
but let's look at it both ways
one man's meat is another man's poison
some people might enjoy taiping sentral but some people might not
so in the end, i think it depends on what you want and expect.

for those who didnt put expectations, they will like it lah. For those with medium expectations like me will have mix feelings for it. And for those with high expectations like ern wei will get dissapointed lor.
however its a good things that we can eat sushi and kenny's roaster in taiping! haha

and if any employee from Reject Shop is out there reading this, please tell your boss that we want one in Taiping too! Its cool to have nice and cheap clothes! HAHA; 7:27 PM
