Life is short. It's kinda scary when someone from your college has just passed away. Not to mention how small my college is (can proudly say there's not even a thousand). Who is she? She's Jacinth Wee(Rachel Ling's housemate).

I might not know her nor seen her before (because I don't really know my juniours. Too many of them), but it's sad to see people like her go when it's not that fault. Don't you think that it's pretty scary that it might one day happen to you?

Just a thought.

Imagine how much pain her sister in UK is going through. Even worse. The surviving family members. Honestly speaking I would rather die than to survive and be left alone. It's just so sad when you get something you don't deserve.

And it's all because of a reckless and careless truck driver.

I wish that I had known you. I heard good things about you =)

Well, maybe we can.

One day.

In Our Father's Place.

God bless your soul.

Lately, or more like all the time, people always talk about the distribution of PSD scholarships and the grading system for SPM. What this guy by the name of Alex from Miri wrote is something I fully with. I'm not sure if he used to live in my apartment (which will mean that he's an MCKL guy) but I just feel so disgusted when some people I know get or don't get the scholarship. It's about time someone writes something like this. No offense, but I think that the Government has no idea how to grade students. The supposed A+ system has failed. It has not raised the standard of SPM, but made it worse. People seem to be getting A+s like A1s before that. A lot of people I know do fairly average in school exams. But when it comes to SPM, they score a string of As thanks to the ineffective grading system. Some do well. Some do not. Those who don't end up retaking a year, or sent somewhere else of lower standard so that they can pass. What a waste of taxpayers money! Not to mention what a f***ing disgrace they are. Do they not know how much taxpayers money that they are wasting? A lot of people I know who do well in school doesn't mean that they can do well in their tertiary education. It's a completely different environment. I know a few who did amazingly well for SPM, but once they did A Levels getting an A for just one subject seems like a chore. Sadly, this does happen, though not very often, for JPA scholars. I'm not a bright student. I might not have the right to criticize high achievers. However, it makes me so angry that one day I'll be paying taxes and eventually funding people like these to further their studies. In Nottingham University, Chong Ren told me that the minimum average to maintain the High Achievers Scholarship given by the university is 65%. However, JPA scholars only need to maintain an average of 45%. That's not as bad. For those who study abroad, scholars who fail do not have their scholarships revoked. Instead, they are allowed a second chance by retaking.

Wake up Malaysia!!!

The way forward is to revoke their scholarships so that we can move forward and fund people who truly deserve it. We are suffering from inflation in Malaysia and might soon end up as a country that is bankrupt.

Another thing that bothers me is the distribution of scholarships to study in private colleges. Has the government themselves lost faith in the public universities? They money they spend overseas will benefit the world and not us. Whereas the money spent on private colleges will hardly benefit the country as many go abroad to make a better living. If only the Government had spent money on public universities instead of wasting it on nonsensical and petty things like this, I'm sure that the standard of public universities will be much higher now than their current state.

What a disgrace. You politicians think that we're better than America. But you're both about the same.

Sorry.... What I wrote was supposed to be for another post. Not that I editted out something.

Decisions. They're always such a bother. One wrong decision and you're done for. Pretty soon I'll have to make decisions soon. Probably now too. Medicine or dentistry? To twin or not to twin? Should I take his/her advice on anything? Is it the right time to get a girlfriend?

Just an example of decisions that has the potential to change your life.

After A levels, I have to decide. Sometimes I'm just scared that I'll make decisions that I'll regret for the rest of my life.

It's no longer the times when we could take up Accounts for SPM, don't do well and it's okay.

I've seen people make decisions and end up regretting over their wrong choices.

Help.

Oversupply Of Doctors Soon... VERY soon

I remember back in school not many of my classmates wanted to do medicine. In fact, you could easily count the number of boys in my class who wanted to be doctors with your two hands.

Well that certainly changed when I stepped foot in MCKL. It's as if everyone doing science wants to be a doctor. True, there are a lot of brilliant kids. Fine. They can definitely do it. But what about the so-so ones or the downright bad?

There's this guy, an aspiring doctor, whom I know who suddenly asked me,"How to calculate the number of moles ar?" What the hell???? Even an Indonesian maid can do that! I know some of you reading this might say,"Bloody f***tard with a f***ing big ego."

Maybe I have. Maybe I don't. However it just annoys me when someone says that they want to be doctors. And it's the one who has no clue what osmosis is. My point is that medicine is not an easy thing. You either have the brains for it or you don't. It annoys me even more when they've already know what they want to specialize in. Someone in my class apparently already knows that he wants to be a neurologist. Well, God bless you. My dad told me that it's one of the hardest fields in medicine. Trying to determine which receptor is causing what. Which drug can stimulate a certain receptor without stimulating the other. And he failed his AS. So my question to this guy is,"How are you going to survive med school when you can't even do A-levels? Skipping classes doesn't show that you have the commitment for becoming a doctor."

I'm not saying all this in the name of selfish reasons whatsoever. I'm also not saying that because I come from some hierarchy where all the men in my family are doctors. I'm just annoyed that people want to be doctors even though it clearly shows that your results simply suck and you don't have the personality to be one. You suck.

Parents. YES!!! Parents!! You are to be blamed too!!!! You want your children to be doctors even though they might not agree to it. But no... You want to brag to other parents how awesome your child is. A doctor from some random Indonesian university. Now that's more respectable than some kid who studied Philosophy and History in Cambridge. In the eyes of some parents the answer is,"Yes! You stupid kid. Study History." They just failed to look at the fact that the poor chap studied in CAMBRIDGE. I'm not saying all are. I can proudly tell you that my parents let me be whatever I want.

Like my dad told me,"You can do the country a good thing by not becoming a doctor."

With what I said you might think that it's everyone's fault that they want to be doctors. But the Government is just at fault or even more screwed up. We might have a shortage of doctors now. However if you just keep churning out more and more doctors you end up with an overflow of doctors. You can't train a doctor overnight, you know. One day we'll probably end up like India or Indonesia.

"At the rate we are producing medical graduates, it will not be long before my experience in Jakarta becomes the norm here. In Jakarta, I was in a cab and the cab driver is a medical doctor. When asked why, he said, "Too many doctors, not enough jobs."

-From some random post I found online and I fully agree from this statement.
